ART 183 ~ Survey: Renaissance - Modern Art
Introduction
This course is a survey of major works of sculpture, architecture, and painting made in Europe and the United States from the 14th century to the present day. In this class, as students tour such places as Florence, Rome, Paris, London, and New York, they will visit with the likes of Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Monet, Picasso, and Warhol. These artists will help students understand the larger cultural context of the societies in which they lived and worked.
