This course represents a serious study of American History since 1877. College level History courses differ from High School History courses in that college students learn more than just facts. College students determine what is changing and what is staying the same. This always is a matter of opinion. Consequently, students will be asked to express their opinion about the facts of the course. A basic student error is to assume that History classes have nothing to discuss.
