Welcome to Mathematics 081: Topics in Geometry.

Geometry is a very visual course. Students will find that much of what is discussed is usually based on some sort of figure which they must be able to picture in order to understand. Between the examples in the book and the examples given in the online commentary (notes), students will be successful in this course.

Students will complete online quizzes, tests and send in assignments written in Microsoft Word showing detailed work (with equation editor and the occasional drawing). Students will also work in a group in order to complete group assignments. Students will participate in the discussion board by either asking class-related questions or helping out classmates with their questions.

Competency in elementary algebra is strongly recommended prior to taking MAT 081, Topics in Geometry.
