Steps to Register
Please Note: You must reapply for admission if you have taken a semester off OR you were previously admitted but never started a course.
Step 1 — PRISM User ID and Password
- You must have your P•R•I•S•M User ID and Password to register. Click here to access user ID and password.
Step 2 — View Tutorials
- We encourage you to review the tutorials before registering, even if you have taken classes with us in the past. See Student Help.
Step 3 — Sign in to PRISM
- Click on the P•R•I•S•M link above
- Click on the red Sign In button
- Enter User ID and password
- Click Sign In to connect to P•R•I•S•M
Step 4 — Registration
- Prior to P•R•I•S•M registration all students are encouraged to coordinate class scheduling with the assistance of their home campus academic advisor. Failure to use the academic advising services can result in missed opportunities, overlooked requirements, and transfer problems.
- To register for a class, see the instructions provided in the P•R•I•S•M Student Help Tutorial "Add a Class".
- NOTE: For registration in P•R•I•S•M:
- Subject- 3 letter subject abbreviation Example: ENG for English
- Catalog number - 3 digit course number-Example: ENG 102 - If the class is closed you can request to be added to the waitlist. Email decoordinator@uwc.edu and include the following information:
- Your full name
- Email address
- P•R•I•S•M ID
- Course name and number
Step 5 — Paying Tuition
- Your seat in the course is not secure and your registration is not complete until your online tuition is paid in full or until UW Colleges Online confirms that you have adequate financial aid to cover your Online tuition in full.
- Failure to meet this requirement will result in your removal from your course(s) when a course is full or at the close of registration.
- The $60 administrative fee is non-refundable after the last day of Online registration.
- You will not receive an invoice; tuition must be paid online.
- Please follow the online payment instructions.
- Sign in to P•R•I•S•M.
- Click Self Service > Student Center > Make a Payment.
- Follow on screen instructions.
- Note: additional charge for credit card option. MasterCard or Discover accepted.
Step 6 — After Registration and Payment
- Review the Class Orientation section once you are guaranteed a seat in an Online course. It is critical that you go over this material before the first day of class.
