Important Registration Date Information

Registration for the Regular Academic Session is from Friday, March 1st, 2013 to Thursday, May 23rd, 2013. No late online registrations will be accepted.

UW Colleges Online Degree-Seeking Students

If you are applying as a degree-seeking student, you are encouraged to apply as early as possible to allow adequate time for admissions and financial aid processing to occur (the application/financial aid process can take several weeks).

Students who apply after April 23rd may still have time for admission and registration to process, however financial aid will most likely not be processed for students who are admitted close to the close of registration.

UW Colleges Online Special / Non-Degree Applicants

Your application must be submitted by Tuesday, May 21st. Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted.

UW Colleges Online will be closed on the following dates

  • Monday, May 27th - Holiday (Memorial Day)
  • Thursday, July 4th - Holiday (Independence Day)

Classes will close either when they reach the maximum number of secured enrollments we can accommodate, or at the close of registration, whichever comes first. Based on previous history, we recommend you have your enrollment fully completed prior to May 10th.

How to Register for Classes

UW Colleges Online students register directly using the UW Colleges' PRISM self-service system. We encourage you to review the Student Help Tutorials before registering, even if you have taken classes with us in the past. Registration dates and processes vary slightly based on your student registration category. You can either use this chart to quickly determine your registration status, or use our Registration Wizard to guide you through the process, step-by-step.

Payment Information

Your UW Colleges Online registration is NOT complete and you do not have a secured seat in the course(s) until at least one of these requirements has been met:

  1. Your online tuition and fees are paid in full
  2. For UW Colleges degree-seeking students, UW Colleges Online confirms you have adequate financial aid to cover your Online tuition in full

Failure to meet this requirement will result in your removal from your course(s) when a course is full or at the close of registration. The administrative fee is non-refundable after the last day of Online registration. You will NOT receive an invoice; please follow payment instructions carefully.
