UW 4-Year Campus Student (Non-Degree-Seeking Online Student)
Prior to Registration
- Complete the UW System Special (or non-degree-seeking) Student electronic application.
Applications for admission as a special/non-degree student must be submitted electronically no later than the Tuesday prior to the close of registration.

For Summer 2009 - Applications for admission
as a special/non-degree student must be submitted electronically no later than
Tuesday, May 19, 2009
- It can take three to five business days to complete
the special student application process and activate
registration access. You will be notified by email as
soon as access to registration is available. This email
will include instructions for obtaining a user ID &
password.
- When access is available, Click on the "Click here to access P•R•I•S•M" link below.
- View the tutorials located in P•R•I•S•M.
- The sign-in button will open the P•R•I•S•M login window. (Remember, passwords are case-sensitive.)
- Enter your User ID and Password. If you do not know your PRISM ID or password, click here to get that information.
- Click "Sign In."
- P•R•I•S•M will allow you to view any holds that have
been placed on your record that may affect your ability
to register for classes; therefore, check your record to
determine if you have any holds.
- It is suggested that you change your password for security reasons. Save your password.
Registration
- Click on the "Click here to access P•R•I•S•M" link below.
- The sign-in button will open the P•R•I•S•M login window.
- Enter your User ID and Password. (Remember, passwords are case-sensitive.)
- Click "Sign In."
- To register for a class, see the instructions provided in the P•R•I•S•M Student Help Tutorial "Add a Class"
- If the class is closed because it has reached its
enrollment limit, you can request that you are added to
the waitlist by emailing
decoordinator@uwc.edu.
Be sure to include the course name and number, your full
name, and email address.
- Payment: Your ONLINE registration is NOT complete and you do not have a seat in the course(s) until your online tuition and fees are paid in full.
You will not receive an invoice. After you have registered in PRISM, you can pay your tuition by using instructions below.
Pay Tuition Online
Your seat in the course is not secure until your online tuition is paid in full.
- Logon to P•R•I•S•M.
- Self Service > Student Center > Make a Payment.
- Follow the on screen instructions.
- Note additional charge for credit card option.

Note: All students are encouraged to coordinate class
scheduling with the assistance of their home campus academic
advisor prior to P•R•I•S•M registration. Failure to use the
academic advising services can result in missed
opportunities, overlooked requirements, and transfer
problems.
After Registration and Payment
Once you are guaranteed a seat in an Online course, you should review the Class Orientation section. It is critical that you go over this material before the first day of class.
