Spring 2007 UW Colleges Online Graduates

Continued Education Plans:: Attend online classes at UW-Platteville to major in Business Administration.
Future Career Plans:: My future plans are to continue my education and obtain a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Platteville's online education program. After that my future is dependent on what career opportunities that a Bachelors degree will bring my way.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:: I really enjoyed the online classes. They gave me the opportunity to continue my education with a flexible schedule. If I had to attend on a face-to-face basis I may not have been able to meet the same schedule as the classes. Online education gave me the opportunity to work full time, raise a family and go to school.

Continued Education Plans:: Attend online classes at the University of Illinois to major in Computer Science.
Future Career Plans:: I plan to continue working in Information Technology.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:: I chose the online campus because I was deployed in support of the military in Iraq. The flexible schedule and self-instruction fit perfectly since I didn't necessarily have a set schedule and didn't know if I would be available at a certain time to take the classes.

Continued Education Plans:: Attend online classes at UW-Platteville to major in Criminal Justice.
Future Career Plans:: I would like to pursue a career as a probation officer or within the social work field.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:: I liked the flexibility of online courses. You can do your schoolwork and attend class in your slippers if you want, and if you want to do lectures or discussions at midnight it was no problem.

Continued Education Plans:: Undecided.
Future Career Plans:: Finishing this degree will give me a promotion to the next pay grade for my profession. I will probably take more classes, but not sure if I will pursue a bachelor's degree.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:: With my schedule at work, having two teen age children, and having other commitments there was no other way for me to be able to finish my degree. I really enjoyed taking classes online, but it is not for everybody. To be successful in this format the student has to be self motivated and have the discipline to stay on top of the assignments and not let themselves get behind.

Continued Education Plans:: Attend online classes at UW-Whitewater to major in Business Administration.
Future Career Plans:: I would like to own my own business, possibly within the construction industry.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:: Time flexibility/savings, convenience, cost savings, comfortable environment, and child care is unnecessary.

Continued Education Plans:: Tentatively planning on majoring in Criminal Justice at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Future Career Plans:: I plan on pursuing a career in law enforcement.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:: I chose to pursue an online education because of the convenience and flexibility allowed by taking classes online. Overall, it was great experience and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to further their education.

Continued Education Plans:: Attend online classes at UW-Whitewater to major in Political Science.
Future Career Plans:: I am continuing my education online to get my Bachelor Degree in Political Science. I would like to go to law school. I am very interested in working with people from different cultures. I would like to work in immigration to help others gain the opportunities America has to offer.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:: Online courses fit my lifestyle much better than attending traditional classes. This is because I am married to a Tunisian and he cannot come to America now. Studying online gives me the opportunity to spend time with my husband and reach my own goals. I trust the education I am getting from the University of Wisconsin because I feel that we have great universities in Wisconsin.

Continued Education Plans:: Attend classes within the Occupational Therapy field.
Future Career Plans:: Occupational therapist.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:: Overall my online experience was positive, the teachers promptly responded to questions about assignments and they took into consideration technical and numerous other unexpected issues. I chose to take the online classes because it allowed me to attend work and school.

Continued Education Plans:: Attend distance learning classes at UW-Superior to major in Teachers Education- Elementary.
Future Career Plans:: I would like to obtain my BS and hopefully find a job close to where I live teaching first or second grade. I want to make a difference in schools with a brand new outlook on things and a fresh mind.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:: I must say that I had a wonderful and fulfilling experience with the online program. When I started I had been out of high school for almost 6 years and I never thought I could go back to college. I had two small children at the time and 26-30 hours a week job. I tried it and it was going great. I had another baby and kept jugging away at it. The time went so fast. I could have never done this if it weren't for the online program. I had gotten better grades in college than I did in high school. I am so grateful to this program. The professors were all awesome. I never had a bad experience in one of my classes. I have a long road ahead of me yet but I have come a long way. If I can do this, anyone can do it.

Future Career Plans:: I would like to obtain a job in the business field.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:: Online courses are great!! They gave me the opportunity to get an education without having to give up and/or short change anything else in my life such as family and work.

UW Colleges Online Education Experience:: I chose to take online courses for convenience as a stay at home mom. It's been the perfect situation for continuing my education. All deadlines have been flexible with my schedule and have allowed me to work at a pace that fits my life. If I continue my education beyond my Associates degree through UW Colleges Online, I will likely search for other online degree options first because this experience has been such a positive one.

Future Career Plans:: Continue developing my small business.
UW Colleges Online Education Experience:: I've had an excellent experience learning online. The new challenges faced have been great, but the ability to work on my own time without the need to visit a physical classroom has been greater.
